Intro Hebrew Camp

For rising 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th graders
August 7-11, 2017
9:30 am – 2:30 pm
Leader – Marnie Waldman

This weeklong camp serves as a Hebrew introduction AND refresher, providing kids with the support and confidence to succeed in a supplemental Sunday Hebrew class during the school year.  The program curriculum includes: Alef-Bet decoding skills, vowel practice, sight words, prayers, modern Hebrew including cursive, Israeli culture and many hands-on art activities and physical activities to integrate the culture of the Jewish camp experience.   Kids who have never had a formal Hebrew class are welcome.

11:30 am   Prayers
12:00 pm   Lunch
12:30 pm   Mishpachah and family words
1:00 pm     Avot Prayer – family tree
1:30 pm     Alef-Bet cursive
2:00 pm      Game wrap up – Bingo, twister, hangman
2:30 pm     Dismissal

Our camp is open to children of qualified grade-level, regardless of Temple affiliation 

$300.00 per child for the 5-day mini-camp
Due 2 weeks prior to start of camp (June 5 or July 24)
