The OST Library is divided into 3 main sections: Reference, Nonfiction, and Fiction.
- The Fiction section comprises two shelves behind the circulation desk and is arranged in alphabetical order.
- Reference items are located on three shelves in front of the circulation desk and arranged by subject headings displayed at the top of the shelves. Reference items can be reviewed in the library and are not available for checkout.
- Nonfiction titles are the bulk of our collection comprising, the remaining library shelves beginning just after the Reference section and extending all the way around the library to the fiction section behind the circulation desk. Nonfiction books are also arranged by subject with headings at the top of each shelf. Each book also has a Dewey number placing it in this order.
- Some oversized Nonfiction and Reference books are located under the right window shelf.
The latest periodicals are located on the tables in the seating area or in the plastic covers on the bottom shelves between the windows. Back issues of these periodicals are located in the labeled blue boxes on the shelves next to the circulation desk.
